A small village that has been able to avoid being found by nearly everyone. This place is very self sufficient, having its own gardens and livestock within high walls. There is a small laboratory here where a family make fuel for the village's generators (although the village runs them sparingly), as well as production of small amounts of medicines and other helpful chemicals. They have figured out how to produce gun powder and bullets for their muskets.The village does not allow people in and out, aside from a hunting and gathering party that is assigned by the four elders running the village. People have been told for generations that this is because there are horrible monsters outside the village walls that will carry them away and eat them. People are also warned that leaving will attract the monsters, and so leaving the walls without permission is grounds for banishment.
The people in this village are fairly well armed, about half of them have weapons and training with them of some kind, and the seven people making up the hunting and gathering party have musket rifles and pistols. The four elders have more modern guns, but must use them sparingly as the village does not have a reliable means to produce primers to reload these types of cartridges.
The hunting and gathering party has also set a number of traps to alert them is there are people nearby, so it would be very difficult to take the village by surprise without inside knowledge of the traps where abouts.
